JOINED THE BAND. Original member, joined in April 1997.(Had a short maternity break).
ANY FORMAL MUSICAL EDUCATION. Not really, except grade 1 piano and studying
music theory books to try and keep up.
INFLUENCES OTHER THAN STEELY DAN. Early inflences include Jazz funk
especially Weather report. Got into blues later. Love Bonnie Rait. Favourite all time singer is
Ella Fitzgerald with her Scat singing and swing style.

of Speed, phew where do you stop?
FAVORITE NEARLY DAN MOMENT.
Can't decide between Glastonbury, The Royal Festival Hall or The Dublin
Tour(name dropper!).I have vague memories of the pre gig stay over party in
Glastonbury which was a very drunken hoot or wondering whether playing Black
Friday in Northern Ireland was making a political statement or not? Singing
Ruby Baby and thinking of my little daughter Ruby was always a lovely
moment.
PRE GIG DRINK / QUANTITY.
Copious amounts of bottled lager or limited to two bottles if driving. Will
bass player Pete fit his answer to this question in this amount of space?

Steely Dan, Bonnie Rait, Eva Cassidy, Super Tramp, Sting, Diana Krall, Norah
Jones, Free!, Clapton, StereoPhonics, Santana etc.
COMMENT. ND is a very cool enjoyable part time folly.I have to let you into
a secret. Gaz and Hayes's secret, favourite track of all time is “Tainted
Love” By Mark Almond. Gaz even went to see him live at the NEC!(when it was
billed as Mike McDonald!)
